We’ve been speaking to our crowned Employee of the Year, Katy Hayward, to find out how it feels to be rewarded with such a title alongside a day’s leave, a meal for two and a bottle of bubbly!
How long have you been at 9?
I’ve been working at 9 Group since October 2017 as a Customer Service Advisor in the Billing department.
How does it feel to be awarded Employee of the Year?
It was very unexpected but I’m completely over the moon!
What are your favourite things about 9?
The staff and atmosphere are amazing. We also have regular social events outside of work, which are great!
I love that no day is ever the same at 9.
What would be your piece of advice in becoming successful?
It’s all about growth. I started at 9 when I was just 18 and have gained a huge amount of knowledge and experience since. I’m really proud of the customer service skills I’ve developed. It’s all about focusing and learning within the business.
A little bit about you?
Outside of work, I like to go to the pub with friends and love trying new things that push me out of my comfort zone. I even recently took part in the sky dive, where I managed to raise £545 for Macmillan Cancer Support!
