Credit Controller

Head of Business Improvement




A bright and driven experienced credit controller that will have a proactive approach to reducing DSO and be a strong member of the credit control team. Working closely with the Head of Business Improvement and operational executives regarding customer relations and debt management, the main purpose will be to ensure that cash collection targets are exceeded monthly, and procedures are robust and fully adhered to.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maximise cash collection, reduce 60+ day debt and manage risk to minimise exposure
  • Be the point of call within the credit department with responsibility for monthly target achievement
  • Implementing credit control policies
  • Providing rolling cash receipt forecasts and comparing previous forecasts to actual performance. Updating the cash forecast model for resellers to contribute towards the Group cash flow reporting
  • Ensure that the ledgers are fully maintained accurately and up to date daily
  • Strong regular communications with internal departments regularly identifying potential bad debts and maintain resolution of queries
  • Daily processing of receipts, bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
  • Attend fortnightly debt reviews with Directors

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Sound academic qualifications to at least A Level with good grades
  • BTEC, ICM or HND in business and Finance or Accountancy in Business and banking experience and qualifications
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior credit control role
  • Clear and practical understanding of business processes, and excellent Microsoft skills

  • Successful proven track record in DSO improvement and credit management
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
